Putting Laxman at Number 3 spot may work as well. Don't forget he has scored 281 runs in a single innings of a test match against Australia back in 2001 and that time he was playing at the number 3 spot as well. But, today it isn't happened and as usual Dravid was made to play at number 3 and thank god he wasn't disappointed. But overall I think its a nice idea to put Laxman at no 3 spot and I believe he can be effective at that position, since he ha proved it in the past.

I think Lakshman or Tendulkar will come at no:3. Today dhoni hinted at few changes in the batting order for mohali test, i am sure it has to be this. Techinically speaking, the team's best batsman should come at No3 position.Lakshman fits that spot perfectly well. He also scores fast when the ball is hard & it is difficult to set a field to him. Even though he did not score big at chennai, lakshman is in good nick, it will be a worthwile move to push him up the order.
