Flying this Christmas?

Are you or a loved one flying this Christmas? I have to wonder what the prices will be like to buy a plane ticket. Usually they jack up the prices around Christmas time. With the economy the way it is I'm wondering if maybe the prices are affordable for people to fly home for the holidays.

No I do not fly but I do find the airline business puzzling as you never know what you are going to pay. Now they are charging you extra for everything, extra baggage, food, drinks, etc. and airport taxes so by the time you have paid for everything it is twice as much as what they say the ticket is. However there will be less people flying this Christmas but probably not by much yet as the recession has not fully hit yet. I am sure by next Christmas unless things pick up right away they will be charging next to nothing just to stay in business. Lean times are not good for the airline industry.
