Beer Pubs

India

This happened to me some time back, myself and a couple of my friends went to a Pub in Chennai, as this pub was associated with car racing I thought we can watch the F1 race as well as enjoy a beer with my friends, but we were not allowed into that pub because we had not come as couples, and the bouncer or who ever it was refused us entry stating that we were allowed only if we are coming with a woman. Dont you find it silly that a Pub refuses entry to males, because they do not come with a woman. All these days I was under the impression that Pubs were basically for males. What is your opinion and responses?

That's the stupidest thing I heard in a while. Maybe they do it so single man don't come and try to pick up woman.

What to do in India, they have all sorts of stupid rules, and one is not able to have a good time.

hi ramesh ... girls r center of attraction, i never heard of refusing guys in .. but we have "ladies night", where the girls get free drinks and make more girls flock to the pubs .. this in return brings more guys to the pub .. a marketing technique cheers

I know that girls, particularly young ones are center of attraction, but it was not a ladies night, and in fact the door man, said that only couples are allowed, and single men were never allowed into that Pub. Well in Chennai, women are considered above men, they have reserved seats in the bus, in Cinema halls they have a separate queue, and finally in hotels and Pubs also they have started to dominate. That is life in Chennai. Thanks for the response.

Ya in most of the nightclubs and pubs only couples are allowed in. They feel that singles will cause trouble for those who are with there partners.. and there thinking is quite rite i think....Lolzzz. thanks

This is ridiculous, Pubs are basically for men. What is the fun of allowing women who are not going to drink much, and not allowing men who come in alone just to have a good time, well that is India, and that is Chennai. Thanks for the response.
