Have you ever lost a good friend?

I know people that are always getting in fights with their 'best friends'. They either end up hating eachother forever, or go back to being friends until next week when they have another fight. I think I do a good job at choosing my good friends or just friends in general. I've never been in a fight with a friend that was serious. My best friends have been my friends since forever, never hating eachother. I feel lucky to have this :) Anyone else? Or bad experiences?
