Religion, what is your definition of Religion and Organized Religion?

I have several thoughts on what is a religion? Really there are many groups that worship many odd objects or ideas, they have created for themselves their own religions. They have organized and put together a hierarchy that can stem from one to many or a few acting together as one, then there is the big one from Rome... And from Rome religion was taken to Europe and then passed across the ocean to America where it is now seeking to go Global while around the world other forms of Religion were developed and are growing at mind boggling rates. But in the end there is really only one true religion and this religion dwells inside of each and everyone of us, in the form of a Spirit, that calls us to know right from wrong and to do good unto each other. So how is it that there is so much corruption in our world? What are false religions? Can you describe and define a religion and a religious group?

good day gary.... tnx for a nice discussion you have.... and peace be with us all.... ^_^ Different kind of religions like those spiritual religion and the religion of this material world or physical world.... Spiritual religion are for those who believe that they are not only a being of physical but also a spiritual being, and that has greater being over his own being..... And the other religions are that believing their being is only a being only for this world or physical word.... And also some believing only on their own world nothing less, nothing more only themselves.... Religions are like on a journey are the directions, maps, signs, symbols or landmarks or even maybe the GPS devices on the road or highway of life." Without these religions an individual may lost or may not get to where the individual really wants to go.....

Yes, you are so correct, there are many religions and they include biases and are very discriminatory in their exclusive applications. I could demonstrate with a few and as you will see some people are involved in more than one of these religious beliefs or ideologies. One can be Christian, One can be Pagan, One can be involved in the Judicial system, One can be involved in human reproductive practices, One can be a Doctor, One can be a Soldier, Each of these of the few materialistic organizations can be a form of religion and there are many more, such as the Engineers that design automobiles and the industry that builds any item, also we could include the Financial systems as there are many divisions that take precedent in the lives of so many individuals. Yes, the believing in self is also another form. A follow up question is how in moderation could each of these be blended together for a full all encompassing spiritual experience? If all of the above is true does meditating upon one, all or any really matter?

Hi G, I love the reply, and here I paraphrase (and edit) some of your writing: (If all are all into one.... The effect of that cause has the Lord Jesus Christ Victorious for all of us..... And if the Lord Jesus Christ has victory we are all living with in God's house...... Either this world or the earth has gone or we have been to a different plane or level..... And there's another thing about that, and that is the Utopia or New Age Principles all in one harmony with each other here on the planet Earth a spiritual rebirth within the boundaries of this physical world.... But I think is still like those Atlantis or Lemurian concepts..... Like a pure Utopian Democracy they say will never or could never work, (I ask why?) And I think that is the concepts of the New World Order..... Here is the thing G, I hope you don't mind my putting a thought right in here it seems really appropriate to mention this at this point in the post. Why wouldn't a true democracy work in the past? If you think about infrastructure and getting the message out to all of the population there was no tool for everyone to be participatory, what has changed? Think Internet... If you see with a global vision maybe you'll understand the forces that are being fought, for many have chosen to remain in the dark ages prior the light and exposure for the world to see what has been going on in the back rooms. We look at a lot of things going on that were corrupt at the core and we have to know that these things should have never happened, look at how our current events have impacted the whole world. And why? Greed, plain and simple we could feed the whole planet and end poverty tomorrow if we put our minds to it we could, for what is money? Money is a system of trading, a system of barter. If I give you a good idea that should be paid for in some way or fashion. If I give you services that should be paid for, we work all together and yet some people work for nothing, they volunteer where their services are given for free with out any compensation and people all but demand this of other people, I just don't get it? Why? Especially when volunteers are going homeless and hungry... Or what about those that are on the low end of the income bracket? What about the cost of health insurance always going up and the workers pay check going down? So many things are wrong in our world, and yet I have hope for a new tomorrow where we will do what is right for all. ---- ok that's it Gary..... Hope you like......... I don't really understand what I have said It just pops on my mind actually or just like someone is dictating my mind..... Well I don't really know how I get this stuff..... I myself don't really know who I am sometimes^_^ Nice G, I know automatic or free writing when I see it and I understand your wisdom, very well put especially when you are bilingual, you have a native tongue that is not English and that makes our ability to communicate all that more impressive to me. Thank You, :) --- And Gary one more thing, I have some few question..... I want to ask about some of your background or your guiding principles of all of your concepts..... Hi G, I welcome your questions. 1. Are you on a new age? I would say I found something new of old (Not really a good answer but the best way I can describe it.) 2. Are you on a new world order? a illumanatti? free manson? or other with circles or group? What you see here on the internet in MyLot and some other message boards where I participate is where I am part of a loose knit group of friends. 3. Zionist? Anti Demaflatory League? Nazi? Wiccan? I'm not a participating member of any of the above with the exception to my studies of Wicca for Spiritual knowledge and growth. I also understand the principles of the Nazi movement and detest world domination and violence. Zionist refers to Judaism and the promotion of the Jewish beliefs of which are my Christian roots but I do not promote everything recorded as good for our world and religion. I would not call myself anti-Semitic. But here is the crux of the problem, if the GOD of the Bible is the GOD that is worshiped by all three Abrahamic religions, and this is our Good Loving GOD then why did this all powerful and all knowing GOD create the consternation between people of different religious backgrounds by giving to the Jewish, Hebrew people these twelve tribes of Israel the land in Canaan? Why a book of belief to write title and deed to property? This caused animosity and as a result the invading nation decided to annihilate the Canaanites. And if you read about the tribes of Israel going into the land of milk and honey this is not what the will of GOD was, the order to annihilate the Canaanites came from the new leader Joshua. (I believe it was Joshua that took over from Moses) But logically thinking it is a testimony that this was not the will of GOD but that the word and will of GOD was changed by a working fraction with in the tribal elements that envisioned killing and slaughtering as a right of passage for the new path into a new land. Do you see a connection between the current political events of today let's say the war on terror and the invasion of Iraq? It was an ideology of might makes right and a way to cleanse away the old to establish the new. I see where the problems started because all diplomatic solutions were cast aside, there could never be peace in that region of the world as long as deep rooted hatred is created. How could there ever be peace when that is done to another? As they say and eye for an eye and soon the whole world will go blind, it is at the moment that we wake from our slumber to realize that we need to find another more diplomatic way to resolve our problems, we need strong courts and fair judges that do their jobs to protect all citizens from abuse. What does abuse look like? I could show you... Wow! could I ever show you... (It is not fun to be abused knowing that you have little to no recourse, you must be very careful like walking on egg shells or very thin ice.) The person that reacts to perceived wrongs can be found in a lot of trouble because many times this self defense is not considered self defense and the instigator actually is given protection by causing the harm the instigator projects a perception that the person reacting has started the escalation when that is not the real truth. It is a rivalry and a very dangerous one at that, the way to solve the problem is to identify the instigation that can trigger a reaction. I wouldn't always blame a person for reacting, yet I would hold them accountable for over reacting. I see the answer this way we are to only use enough force as required to get the job done. Eventually you learn that very little force is ever needed and that comes to the hands of the master at the controls of the tools like poetry in motion very free and graceful. Edgar Cayce? Celestine Prophecy? Guardian? or just an adventurer like me? artist? rocker? G, I like music but I am just an adventurer like you, I do play a little bit of guitar, I love Rock n Roll... or other with those same type of question......) Nope, I am just who I am, what you see is what you get... I am me... Have a Happy and Joyous Holiday, Sincerely, Gary

Religion is a belief in a higher power, and includes not only Christianity, Judiamsm, Muslim, Brahman, and Buddhist, and paganist. True Religion is what is practiced in Christianity as set down by the Bible and includes what one does in life as what was preached by Paul the Apostle who was taught by Jesus Christ. False religion is man made and is to do with the outward appearance and has a whole lot of man made rules. For instance, women wearing their dresses to the ankle and scarfs around her head would be because of a false notion of modesty to the extreme and shouting to everyone "I go to church every Sunday" or taking out your Bible or Koran at the Food Court and reading aloud and praying grace aloud, in other words for show. Even the Roman Catholic is considered false as it deviated from the true religion where one is to worship God in three, (God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit( and live a life pleasing to God.

I really like what you wrote Suspenseful, Here I would ask you to confirm that I understand you correctly in the last thing you wrote about the Roman Catholics, "Even the Roman Catholic is considered false as it deviated from the true religion where one is to worship God in three, (God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit( and live a life pleasing to God." Are you saying that because the Roman Catholics are supposed to believe in the trinity and live a good life that their religion is false? I see nothing wrong with believing in a Spirit in any and all form while living a good life. This would be living an honest life first to yourself and also to others. There are many reasons I would say that the Roman Catholics or any Christian branch of religion misses the mark for leading people towards the Love of GOD and others. What you chose to site would not be the objects of false teaching that cause people to fall. Idolatry runs rampant in our current religious systems along with bigotry and/or discrimination. Being exclusive instead of inclusive would be another flaw of organized religion. The thing is that while my intent was to define religion I wanted to take a step away from the flaws, but you brought up some very good points that is if I understood your points correctly. Please share more.

Religion: A set of beliefs, God or no God. Organized religion : When these belief are organized by a group and that group dominated the masses and keeps it under control- The priests. As in the case of Christianity and Islam.

Absolutely correct, as I wrote above I believe you have paraphrased exactly what I was attempting to elaborate. Very nice job, I wonder if more can be added. Thank You for your time to read and reply. Peace and Blessings to ALL, ALL that work for the good of each other... Most Sincerely, Gary
