Are bollywood stars popular world wide?

Do the people from the westren countries or asian contries other than India know about any of the bollywood stars. Here in India a lot is bragged about there international fan following, specially SRK. So are they also popular outside India also. Here i think one can get a better answer for this question.

I hate to say it , but most people in the west are very unfamiliar with Bollywood and its stars. I am sorry to say this.
I think most of their fan base in the rest of the world are people of Indian descent.
I could not name an actor or actress or a film. I'm sorry. We have heard about it, but we do not show any of the movies in our theaters. They may be shown in Indian neighborhoods in some large cities but not around here.

Yes i also think the same.. they are only popular in the parts where there is lot of indian population... as whenever one saw there performances abroad also, one will find only the Indians or Nri's in the spectator row. thanks for ur reply rocketj.. happy myloting
