Would anyone like to help me with my Christmas present for my boyfriend?

Among other things, I want to make him a mixed tape (and by tape, I mean CD), but I just realized that I don't know of many (if any) romantic songs that seem appropriate for men. All the really heartfelt songs I know seem to be girly or just something that my boyfriend would not appreciate. He likes all kinds of music really, but he is more of a rock guy than anything else. Some of his favorite bands/artists are Metallica, Anberlin, Cobra Starship, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and pretty much any classic rock group ever. Does anyone have any suggestions for some songs or artists that I should look into for the CD? Oh, and if you have any good sentimental gift ideas, I am open to that too. Right now I'm thinking that I'm going to do a scrapbook, but that idea doesn't have me particularly delighted, so I am open to other suggestions.

There is this song called Stutter by the Bens Brothers. It was in a gum commercial recently. It's a really cool song. As far as classic rock go, Queen is good at love songs that aren't too gushy.

Oh, I know what song you're talking about. It gets stuck in my head like crazy! (As most songs in commercials tend to do.) Thank you for your suggestion. :)

Maybe if your putting a mix tape together try like moby or alternative music I am pretty sure he worked with a hard rock band like metalica or iron maiden in his older albums and I think his music can be quite neutral and easy to listen to. Perhaps some of the slower and older stuff by Queen, Bon Jovi, white snake or the police. Pretty romantic but not really girlie girl feminine lyrics which actually have a bit of passion and meaning, but that's just my suggestion.

Hmm. I have never heard of Moby, but I will certainly look into it. I should have thought of The Police! They have some good stuff. Thank you for all your suggestions. They were very helpful. :)

One of my favorite things to do is put together mixed CDs for other people. hehe Based on his tastes I'd suggest: I Walk the Line There are two really good rock covers of this; one is a fairly old one from Social Distortion and the other is Chris Daughtry's American Idol performance. Not that there is anything wrong with the original, for that matter. Cyndi Lauper I Drove all Night Kill Hannah Ten More Minutes Heart Crazy on You The Cure Just Like Heaven because no one who truly loves music can deny the beauty that is this song. It's mushy but I've not met a music lover who didn't appreciate Robert Smith's sentiment. Flyleaf All Around Me INXS Never Tear us Apart Tiger Army True Romance Or, look up the Monster Ballads albums on Amazon and pull from the track lists there :)
