How would you feel if you receive nothing this Christmas?

All I want for christmas is a pair of shoes - I do hope my aunt will buy me the shoes I want this christmas.

Christmas is around the corner friends. My auntie promised to buy me a new pair of shoes but I am not really sure if she will buy me one since she is the one supporting me with my studies. She told me she might buy me a new pair of shoes. If you will not receive anything this special holiday how would you feel?

Ok I guess! I have been receiving nothing for a number of Christmases now! Well, I lost my family many years back and so I have become accustomed to not receiving anything and subsequently not expecting anything. It is nice to give gifts though, I admit that. I do like to give a gift or two to a few of my friends. Giving and taking is a part of life I guess. Andrew

Actually, I am not getting anything for Christmas this year. All of my friends and family have decided that we won't exchange gifts, because we all just can't afford it. Although it would be nice to receive gifts, I'm not upset that I won't. That's not what Christmas is about anyway.

I'm at an age that I shouldn't really be expecting a gift. However, when you're at your grandparents, and there are a bunch of wrapped presents under the tree, a part of you is hoping that a few of them are for you. If there happened to be nothing for you, you'd probably feel a little disappointed. It would almost seem like you'd been forgotten by your loved ones, even if there was an understandable reason behind it all.

It won't bother me one bit. In fact, I usually tell everyone not to give me anything.

Nothing. I won't feel anything. Its nice to get things for Christmas, but I never get anything, and I don't expect anything. Doesn't bother me. There are people who need material items more than I do. People who need a place to live, and food to eat. If those people are forgotten on Christmas, that is worse then me not getting something.

I grow up with not a lot of material things in life. I am happy that some people give me gifts but now that I am older I really dont mind that much at all. The spirit of crsitmas is in giving not really more of receiving so you don't have to be sad if you don't receive anything. If she has sent you to school consider it a blessing because not a lot of people will sacrifice in sending their nephews to schools just a few will. Have you thought of what you will give her in case she will really give you the shoes? Merry Christmas.

i guess i've come to a point whereby i expect not to receive anything. my parents aren't those people who would take the effort to celebrate anything even a birthday. i've also learnt to not hope too much. the higher you hope, the harder you fall when you're disappointed. it's quite a sad life if you ask me. but yea, i've been hit hard many times when i expected to receive something that was "promised" to me but didn't. however, on a brighter note, i do sincerely hope that your aunt would buy you a new pair of shoes of your liking =) i mean it's Christmas =)
