Noche Buena or Media Noche?

What do you celebrate the most Noche Buena (the traditional Christmas Eve fest) or Media Noche (gathering during New Year's Eve)? For most families in the Philippines, Noche Buena is much anticipated but the celebration of Media Noche is more celebrated in our place because of the loud noises heard all over and the colorful amazing fireworks.. It is so breath taking to watch. And it's my Dad's birthday too. I would like to take this chance to greet everyone with A Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year too. ^___^ What's really important is spending quality time with your dear ones. Spread the love. Cheers!

Celebrating Christmas is important to us. But, we celebrate more the New Year's Eve because that is when our family is complete. My father's younger brother and his family are celebrating their Christmas with his in-laws. My sister likewise celebrate her Christmas with her husband's side. Same with my brother's family. After Christmas, those who have families come home to our family house and celebrate the New Year together. That has been what we used to, perhaps it will continue till subsequent years. HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!!

Hi there icedcoffeemallows! We celebrate both the Noche Buena and the Media Noche. It has always been a big celebration for our family. It has always been a schedule for family reunions. Well, not every year though but every time we take advantage of the Holidays to celebrate family reunions, it has always been a blast! Every now and then, our relatives from abroad would bring some friends (most are foreigners) and they get to see how festive Christmas and New Year is in the Philippines!

every year we dont celebrate noche buena we prefer to celebrated media noche every new year eve.i really dont know why? but i think its wrong cause christmas is the most important day in the whole year. maybe the reason why its because we are lack of money to spend noche buena.

we celebrate both.. because both are significant in our lives. although media noche is really exciting because there are lots of fireworks and the noise. But let's not forget the noche buena is also important because as catholics, we belived that it's the time that Jesus Christ was born. God the Father let Jesus Christ born because of HIS love for us. Christmas is time for sharing.. sharing blessing and sharing love to the unloved.

We celebrate Media Noche more than Noche Buena. We just sleep on Christmas Eve then prepare some food for lunch or dinner on the 25th. A lot more special than regular lunch or dinner. Media Noche on the other hand is more celebrated because it's where all people are awake and lively. Plus the fact that my mom can have lots of time to prepare food. New Year is one of my favarite holidays so i'm not taking it for granted. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you too!
