i think he did the reight thing by reitring from ranji trophy also it can give way to emerging young players and also no more achievement to make for ganguly after retiring from international cricket

I dont think playing Ranji matches is anymore requires as he has retired from his international career.I think he should still keep on playing ICL matches for Kolkatta Knight riders as he is the captain of the team and his team requires him.
