Do you think the government keeps secrets from the public?

In my personal opinion, I believe they do. Now I am not a conspiracy theorist, but I think that in some cases, if you tell a mass amount of people something, they will most likely freak out and panic and riot, etc. So what do you think? Do you think the government tells us everything? Why do you think the way you do?

Yes! It is a well known fact that all governments tend to keep more things as ssecrets. They don't allow the common man to know them.It is ironical that we elected those people who run the government and they are not loyal to us.They keep on doing things which they say for the benefit of the people and the opponent party declares it harmful. For example,in India, the recent nuclear agreement with america is debated by both parties with their views. But the common Indian like me could not judge the facts. It is all our fate!

Ii think every single government in the world keeps secrets from their people. Especially powerful military countries, starting with USA, Russia, China, Korea etc. I think everybody would like to know everything about aliens. If there is something to know. I understand that they won't say anything about biological and chemical test (on humans). People would freak out.

The best way the government should always do is to tell the truth to its people.... No less or more.... So, the people can have the trust to their government.... If the government continue keeping secret always, every people can't read all the minds of their government and the effect on that, people gets confuse and when there are confusions there are fears.... So for those government who always keeping secrets they are planting the seed of fear among its people.... And when there are fears they can easily control the minds of the people and the people can not control their government....
