"Unto the Sons" is said to be "The Root" for the Italian immigrants in the US, by the famous contemporay novelist Gay Talese. Actually, you will find it a history book, which tells about the challenging days of the immigrants and the memorable periods critical for the US in the last century. It is a masterpiece, which well exposes a mixture of both cultures, leaving us serious thinkings about immigrants' contribution to the country.

if this is a new book, then i have not read it. there was a book of the same title which i have read long ago. it was a very good one. tells about the origin of a negro family in the u s of a. reading it would spark a kind of anger for those who went out and catch those free people in order to sell them to slavery. you can just imagine how people can be without coscience at times. they are out there to make money out of anything which they have no right at all...they have never had dropped any single sweat in order to have a claim on the ownership of the people's lives.
