http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCYaw5tGYAs This is a cute video of various dogs talking. They are soooo precious. Please watch the video & tell me what you think!!! There are several others linked to the same page if you really want to enjoy yourself. My neighbor had a dog that would knock on the back door & say I wanna come in. I didn't believe it until I heard it myself. Animals are amazing creatures!!! OK now, do you have a similar story?? If not, what do you think???

Hi, I wanted to say I adored this video it mad me smile. My dog can talk too. He's just as adorable as the dogs in the video. He says give me when he's wanting a treat. hug me when he's wanting attention. They are truly part of the family expressing. I tell my guys all the time Flurry says "he wants to go out." They are almost human.

I've had 2 cats that talked to me, but none of my dogs ever have. I had one German Shepard/Golden Retriever mix that communicated by staring at me. I'd wake up in the middle of the night with this dog staring right into my eyes. I'd say What you want? & he'd jump up & run for the door. That was his way of saying he needed to go out. Any time he started staring at me I'd ask him What you want? & he'd show me. Whether it was a hug or a trip outside or dinner. He always had a way to show me. And he never failed to start with a stare.

I've heard many pet dogs AND cats who seemed to be talking in human language. It's amazing how they mimic language sometimes! And, I truly believe they ARE mimicking. Both of my little Maltese babies talk, in their own way. So far, I haven't been able to understand their specific 'words', but they are definitely talking! One growls her words out and she does quite a lot of that! If we don't notice her and she wants attention, she'll start growling out her demands, softly and quietly. The other one, the little one (relevant term since they're BOTH little, lol) doesn't growl her words, but 'talks', just the same. It's not barking; it's very softly spoken. Ar ar arf, arrrrrrrarrraar arrr, arffff woof. She's DEFINITELY saying something! It's the cutest thing. If I can ever catch them doing that while I have the video recorder, I'm going to make a film clip of them 'talking'. I've seen clips like the one you posted before and think it's absolutely amazing that we can understand them! Mimicking people is not unheard of, since they do have vocal cords and are somewhat intelligent. My oldest dog learned to 'hug' by watching my husband and I... um... well, you know... that intimate thing... she'd watch, then jump on one of us (usually me) and slam her entire body against mine, covering my mouth and nose with her face. We laughed ourselves silly once we realized what she was actually doing! She watched us, umm, 'hugging', then had to do it herself.

I have heard of and seen on TV about talking dogs. I have never seen one in person but I do believe they can. I wish my dog would talk, he had to be rushed to the vet Christmas Eve morning. Vet said it sounded like he had a seizure?!?!

It is almost unbelievable isn't it? Dog really can talk. Some better than others. My dog has a language all of her own and has several different means of communication. She does not pronounce words yet but I have come to know what she is saying. We have a cat that knows how to remove the stop on the door to go out side. This is a classic in itself.

And they say that what dogs lack to be humanlike is speech. Thanks for sharing this video. I am a dog lover and I have enjoyed watching it.

You just gotta work with them a little bit. Dogs love being people pleasers. Give 'em a treat when they do it right & you've got 'em hooked.

I have two dogs and in their own way they talk to me wg when they want to go out they will either stand at the back door or nudge me, if outside and the door is closed they will scratch at the door asking to come in..I am naughty and allow mine on the chairs, but they always come to the setee and stand there asking if they can get on there, if I say no they will go and sulk!! Dogs are very intelligent and speak to you in many ways especially through their eyes, I always know if they are feeling under the weather by the way they look at me, and can tell other things too...it is amazing..hugs littleowl

Hi Marissa Those are absolutely adorable!! My dog Rocky thinks he can talk. When his daddy comes home from work, he talks like that. I don't understand what he is saying, but he tries his hardest to talk like a human. It is sooo cute!! Happy MyLotting! Char

I bet if you asked him, he'd say it again. Or say I can't understand you & he might try & clear it up for you!!! Or maybe one day it will come out clear enough you can understand what he's saying!!!

Hi LadyMarssa, I really enjoyed that, it does sounds as if they are talking and they so sweet, I love dogs but I don't have any as I have two cats, they are so understanding, if I was giving them a treat and had no more left, I just say all gone, and they just go off. Tamara

I have 2 cats & 2 dogs & I talk to ALL them just like they're children. They respond pretty much the same way. My last cat used to sit here & argue with me. I couldn't understand anything she said except yes & no, but she would just sit & chatter if she didn't agree with what I was saying or doing. I'm sure she told me off more than once!!!

my dod dosent talk , but if you closely watch him , its much better that he is talking. His all deeds you will understand, you will understand what he is looking for . Playing with him is just like talking and spending time with a friend.

Wow, that is really amazing. Most dog will either follow orders or at least trying to understand what you've said, or asked them to do things. Trained dogs are amazing, those are not trained are great too! Because they will always reply when foods coming :) Happy myLotting!! Happy new year and best wishes to all!

To me, the untrained dogs are the sweetest!!! I also prefer mutts to pure bred dogs. Strays usually appreciate a good home!!!
