And you put it in the mailbox as if you were mailing a letter. . will the post office find the owner ? I have done this before after finding someones ID cause i heard it'd work. . do you know if it does or have you ever done it ?

I have never heard of this before but now that I read someones answer that said it happened to them I will be sure to do it if I ever find one.

Yes I can tell you taht the post office does find the owner and mails it to them. I know because I had my purse stolen and found with some of my ID still in it and when I got it in the mail there was a letter from the post office in the package saying that it was put into the mail by someone and so they found me and mailed it to me. I was very grateful to get some of it back and I wanted to thank the person who put it in the mail but I don't know who did it so I can't thank them, but I can let others know that it is true and so if it helps even one other person get their stuff back then I feel I am doing my part. So yes, if you find someone's ID you can put it in the mail box knowing they will more than likely get it back. Alrighty then, talk to you later my friend, Have a good mylotting day, Chris

Good for you Sissy, some people would either do nothing or try to steal someones identity...I haven't done it myself, but have heard that it does work..
