Being a vegetarian, I have limited options while travelling to places that serve mostly meat and seafood. How does one make a salad and that too a crunchy salad while on the move?

I have never had a salad that wasn't crunchy. That is a veggie salad. Basically any kind of fresh vegetable is good to go mixed with lettuce and other greens. If the veggies are fresh it will be crunchy. You can even add some of your favorite fresh fruits. Top with your favorite dressing. As long as it is fresh veggies and no meat is added, it will be a vegetarian salad. If you don't want dairy in it, you might check your salad dressing to make sure no milk has been used or egg.

By the way, could you recommend some of your favourite dressings? Thanks in advance and wish you a Happy New Year.

My favorite is Honey Mustard and my next favorite is Ranch. I also like Catalina, French, and Poppy Seed or Sweet n Sour. I also like homemade which is basically like the slaw dressing my mom always made. That combines Miracle Whip or mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar.
