Losing your mother

Lately I've been reading a book called "Motherless Daughters" by Hope Edelmen. It's for women who've lost their mothers before the age of 20. Has anyone read this book?

I've never read the book. Is it good? My best friend lost her mother months before she turned eighteen. I would like to recommend it to her.
