Superstitions

personally, i do not worry myself so much with sorts of superstitious beliefs. if you analyze why they came to be, it is because there are some explanations to it. the people of old will simply make a belief in order to effect an easy cure to a wrong or dismaying habit of a housemate. say, one loves to sit by the stairway. i find it difficult to pass through the stairway then. so i tell my housemate this: "do you know that if one sits at the stairs, bad luck will come to the family? good luck can no longer come in because you are blocking it from getting in." now, i am a fruit vendor, how will i get to sell my fruits? i'd simply say this: "i have a fruit here which can make you lucky if you always have at least one of these at the table everyday and eat at least one each morning." well it is a citrus fruit and the body needs a good supply of natural vitamin c everyday. hence, there is truth as to what the vendor did say.
