My PC use to hang up at any time please suggest anything that can resolve it

I am always having the problem of hang of my computer/PC Since last 6 months it hangs up any time in between any process.and I am just not capable of resolving it.I have checked my motherboard,ram,processor and as well as the power supply also.but i don't get any problem there. Whenever I format my PC it runs smoothly but after few days it stats hanging again.... I am having the AVG internet protection anti virus also.. all is good but it is still just making me feel depressing If anyone of you can help me please do it because i am totally frustrated of this problem..........HELP HELP HELP...........................

Hi, My old one got hanged like yours. After 2 months smoke came out from the VGA chip. May I know you specs of Comp and XP or VISTA wat do u use ?

I am having Asus Intel chipset mother board,1 Gb dynate ram, 160 Gb segate hard disk, Intel dual core 2.8 Ghz processor and i am using Windows SP2

may be your FAN is run under 5000rpm, if that problem is still not resolving then you will check your HDD with anti virus. Both (Software and Hardware) is mutually, if something problem in hardware cannot be resolve in software that cause crash. Very hard to find problem in computer, because all process in computer cannot see with our eye.
