How will you celebrate the ringing in of the New Year?

I think New Year's Eve will be pretty subdued at my house this year. I'll probably play a game with the kids (we got Blokus 3D for Christmas), and have some junk food snacks (a tradition in my family). 
But what I'm looking forward to is January 2. I'm going to a party at a friend's house in Oklahoma City. There will be a bunch of us there who went through elementary school together (K - 6th grade) and drifted apart to different schools and parts of the country since then, but managed to reconnect this past spring at a fundraiser for our old elementary school. This time, some of us are going to bring our kids to the party. This is going to be great!

I don't know yet. I will probably watch comedies and get nice night rest.
I will barely stay till midnight and be happy to be able to sleep.
This year was not good for me. I want to sleep and wake up in New Year....

I hope 2009 will be much better for you, pola. Maybe an angel or two will come your way and guide you along and help you through tough times. In the meantime, put your left hand on your right shoulder and your right hand on your left shoulder and squeeze gently - I just sent you a hug!
