I know that the ranking of college football games is seen as highly whack, there should be a playoff scenario just like in the NFL and why not. Wouldn't the NFL the highest stage for a football player because the example to follow?

I think that college football game in general would have a playoff program that would be highly recieved. That way you would end up with the two best teams to compete for the national championship. I mean the teams get roughly 2-3 weeks off before the bowl games as it is. Would it not be better time spent to take the top 12 teams and have them compete in a playoff scenario and have the last two standing meet on the big bowl game? I know that is all money based though and it would really hurt the college football teams from making more money. But it would draw a bigger fan viewership.

Yes in the end all of it comes down to money and that is where us the fans suffer but still support the system ironically.

I totally agree with you. There should be a playoff scenario. If you want to be the best you have to beat the best. Best 16 or even best 8 teams at the end of the regular season. Knockout system and that's it.

For reals hopefully it goes that way in a couple of years.

It is all about the money. The teams or schools rather don't want to lose their chance of going to particular bowls and making the big bucks. I actually really like college football but to be honest I barely watch any bowl games. They are meaningless games and the season has been over for like a month. I may watch part of the championship game but even then, especially this year, I am not sure if the winner of that game will truly be the best team.
