Ya gotta love this lady - she knew where the family jewels were and she made sure she got a good grip on the situation.

Unfortunately, those jewels were HIS and he decided he preferfed to keep them to staying in her house. Good for her!!!

You go, Girl! Too many people in her situation would have been too frightened or intimidated to do anything. But she saw the opportunity and grabbed it (literally!) All naughty jokes aside, I think she did just what anyone should do in the situation. Decorum be damned...she wasn't exactly dealing with royalty here. Despite the presence of the crown jewels (sorry, I couldn't resist). And speaking of which, why was this burgler naked anyway? Why leave yourself vulnerable? If he's that stupid then he got what he deserved.

I saw this on the news and I am so glad that she was able to fend off her attacker. A very brave and smart woman. I am sure he had alot of pain and learned his lesson the hard way lol Its not smart to mess with the ole timers because they dont put up with much at all.

Hey jerz! Good for her! I hear about this on the news! She was pretty brave! I'm not sure that I would have been quite as quick thinking or smart! And they got the guy too! Serves him right the moron! He's going to try to rob the place naked! WTF was he NOT thinking! Or he was planning on attacking an 88 year old woman? Either way he loses! I hope she got him real good! I guess she did because he ran like hell!

I saw that on the news and thought that this lady might be old, but definately not a coward. I'll bet he won't be back. They should give her a medal for bravery...and community service; Taking a scumbag out of commission.

Thats definitely a way to get a guy to back off. I remember once in high school one of the older guys (who was a real bully) shoved me into a wall and started to choke me. First thing I did was bring my knee up. Hard. His buddies had to carry him out and he was missing from school for a few days. Funny thing is he never bothered me again. LOL

Hmmm I bet he's not wondering what "respect your elders" means anymore! I think it's great that she was able to fend him off. And just think if the police had not found him close to the house. He may have just been preparing for the second round. I think they should have self defense classes for elderly people that have to be alone or not alone for that matter.
