Any stretch mark remedy?

January 2, 2009 1:20pm CST
I am 14 weeks pregnant. I am likely to develop stretch marks on my tummy. Does all the stretch marks go away after giving birth to a baby? If not, is there any home remedy or cream to prevent stretch marks?

Cocoa Butter is best. Just rub it on your tummy everyday to help prevent stretch marks. And no...once you get them you are stuck with them, so take really good care of yourself.

Even my friends told me about cocoa butter stretch mark cream. But in one of the website, it is said that one of the proven results - though many are using cocoa butter, it doesn't help to remove stretch marks. I'll post you the link when I find it again.

You've probably given birth by now. Anyway, from my own and what I observe from other pregnancy, you will most likely have stretchmarks if your body is really slim. Even if you'll put powder, lotion, prevent from scratching your time, it will still come out. Just think of a balloon after been blown big, when air comes out it becomes wrinkled and sagged. Our skin is like that too. And once you have it, there's no way to diminish it. It stays forever unless you'll have some surgery, then you'll have surgery marks, lol.

I've never had a baby, but like the responder before me, I hear that cocoa butter works well. My aunt was pregnant with triplets and she used cocoa butter from the beginning of her pregnancy. She said she hardly got stretch marks at all. I don't know how that's possible since she was huge.
