I watched todays match with awe. On a flat pitch, SA bowled wonderfully well, it did not allow any Australian batsmen to settle down. The first five wickets to fall were taken by five different bowlers. This make SA a truly great team. Smith is the highest run getter this year , styen is world's best bowler by far, & kallis the best allrounder in the world. With new talents like morkel & duminny popping up, i wonder if SA is a much stronger team than INDIA?

I agree that SA is performing very well, but i think INDIA is above SA. players of SA and INDIA are playing their best but the batting order of INDIA is good compare to SA on other hand bowling order of SA if good s INDIA.Mathces between INDIA an SA will be very interesting but according to me INDIA will surely beat SA,.

I like your confidence in Team India, even I secretly wish that Indians turn up victorious against the Proteas.

i accept sa is a great team but they have just started their winning streak nut dont we will stop them when we get our hands on them england was looking good before they toured india ... but we proved them at the same time they are the team to be watched out for ,they got youngsters just like us and lead by a great captain smith i wish there will be a clash between india and south africa ..........

Even i wish for a clash between these two teams to settle the issue. Unlike England, SA has done well against india recently & generally performed better in the Indian Subcontinent.Thats the reason they are ranked above India.

well the thing thing is that both the teams are very good and balanced right now. plus they are both high in confidence. india won a test series against austrlia in a very convinving way which is good for the team and even south africa created history when they won 2 test matches against australia in their home. so both are well balanced and a series between them will be better to decide now.

both the teams are indeed well balanced. You are right when you say that a series between these two teams right now is a mouth watering prospect.

Dear friend, I could see that SA is a tough team and if Indians or any other team have to take them very seriously and more over if Indian retain its form I hope Indian are unconquerable. But Indian side if consistent in its performance I hope India is best. Still we cannot underestimate any teams. It all depends upon the performance and the form of players at the time of match.

Yes i do wonder SA his much better than our team. But we cant say that Indian teams are back.SA and India both are heading to 1st position.Even though losing some matches Aus remains in 1st position its little difficult for both SA and India to reach 1st position hope we look for the best in this year.

After australia's ist innings score in 3rd test it looks difficult for SA to become no1 soon.If they beat Australia in this match, at least ranking wise they will be no1 test team. Thanks for the response.

My take on this question is South Africa is the better side my reasons for saying this is. The South Africans will play well anywhere in the world. They can beat you home and away and they have a much better bowling lineup than the Indians. On the other hand i personally dont think the Indians can play at their best out of the sub continent although they have i think the best batting lineup now.

Well said. I echo your thoughts. However with aggresive batsmen & better pace bowlers coming through the indian ranks , Team India may soon catch up with them.

i agree to what you say.whatever indians did, south africans did better.indians beat the aussies on their home soil and south africans have beaten the aussies in their own den inflicting the first home test series defeat in 16 years.south africans always had the talent to be the best in the world but for some reasons they always used to falter when things seemed good for them.no doubt they have in dale steyn the only consistent fast bowler in todays cricket and graeme smith, kallis etc make up a great team.

yes, it was in the last series that South africa had routed a strong Indian batting lineup for less than 80 in indian soil.whih proves that they have a very potent attack & will be deserving No1 test side soon.

yes i agree south africa is a better team than india but not by much and what makes them better is that they have a better bowling attack then india they have the ability to bowl opposition out cheaply on any wicket. also they win consistently abroad and are the only team who have troubled india in india in test matches they bowled out india for under 100 in ahmdabad...and the fact that they have defeated australia so easily in there own backyard is something which is brilliant and makes them a better team then india...for me: 1. South Africa 2. India 3. Australia/Sri Lanka

Yes , not only did they play well in the indian subcontinent, they have done the unthinkable by defeating australia in it's own backyard with ease.
