I am just curiuos if there are other parents other than myself out here that have found out that their child is gay? I am curious to how you handled finding out and how things are between the two of you. I am a mother of a daughter that is a lesbian and love her just as much as I always have. Does anyone have a story to share about their child?

good for you for not treating her any different. my daughter is only 5 so haven't been through that yet with her. however i came out after i had her. when i told my parents all they said is "it's always something with you and then they seighed at me and hung up on me. they still talk to me but no one mentions anything about it. they ignore it. but we've never had a good relationship anyway.

"it's always something with you" is what I heard the entire time I was growing up from my parents. When my daughter told them she was gay, I almost fell over when they said, "We thought so a long time ago." That was it, nothing else and no different treatment. It is sad when parents cannot be accepting. At least you have a daughter that you can be different with than what your parents were to you.
