Does a "SECRET" must be a secret forever?

kEEPING a secret must be in a good cause or it maybe in a very bad thing to do.... But now a days, is it necessary to make a secret to be just a secret for eternity?... If it does, why do you think so? Tell me= happy mylotting!!!
