You could save up money over a year or two and during that time read some travel books to get you tips on budget traveling and cheap destinations. Find a train station near to you and see which gate point that could take you to. For example I could get a train to London then over to Brussels. From there with changes of train could visit any destination that has a train station in Europe. If I headed to Moscow I could catch a train to China. I suggest you consider going to Mexico or Canada because you don't like flying. Good luck.
