is insonmia a symptom of pregnancy? i am on my 29th week of pregnancy and this week, i have been sleeping late. i attribute it to being really wired from all the work that i have to do. but today, i decided to sleep early. but i couldn't. have any of you experienced this during this time? i am asking those who have been pregnant before. heheh what did you do? baby is also awake now, making her presence felt. good day all and God bless you! :-)

Actually, whenever I was in doubt about being pregnant I would notice that I was sleeping more than normal and that would tip me off. As anyone will tell you each pregnancy is unique. It could be that for you, insomnia is going to be one of your symptoms. I am inclined to think that it may have more to do with your lifestyle than being pregnant. I know that everything in my life affects my sleep patterns. When I was first laid off I was depressed so I didn't sleep much. when my kids are sick I worry about them so I don't sleep much. When I had major projects to do at work I was stressed so I didn't sleep much. For your own sake try doing anything that relaxes you so that you can get enough sleep. The baby is the equivalent of a parasite. It will drain everything it needs from you, and you have to live off whatever is left. So be a healthy host and take care of yourself!
