What is the best time for shooting birds?

Early mornings are real busy times for birds and there is hectic activity among them. Is early morning the best time to shoot birds (with my camera of course)? Is there a better time of day when they would be in a mood to pose?

I prefer the morning time as i always find the good mood to do so rather than noons or in the evenings.

There are so many birds in so many habitats and with a myriad of variables... In Africa I found that late in the day and in the mid-day was best in jungle areas, but in the plains, early afternoon found many birds of prey drifting through the skies. Water birds seem to be active throughout the day; Pelicans in my part of the world are easy to photograph as long as there is light! All of the waders and dabblers likewise. Forest birds are often small and so active, while the light levels in their habitat are so low, that luck and patience in equal parts are more important than time of day. Parrots seem to prefer to feed morning and evening, but pigeons, sparrows and wrens never stop (small birds eat several times their body weght every day~ they can't afford a break!); and seasons make a big difference, with nesting and then chicks to tend having a big impact. So, sorry...I really can't suggest much.
