Since October 2007 start from US, stock market is going down until this day. Now the stock price is going down averaging more than 50% and several big company already bankrupt. Do you think this is a disaster or a chance to buy good fundamental company? As Warren Buffet says that when everybody greed, he will be fear and when everybody fear he will be greed. How about you?

Hi oz, I dont think its an oppurtunity in a broader way. Last year this time our index was so high and everything was looking so flourishing. Every business was doing good and looked like India is going to make it big internationally. Then suddenly after this market crush in US and the global economic crisis we witnessed some thing really odd. Though a lot of people believe that its a good time for new compnays for growth and for investors to invest as stocks are availabe in low prices. I think market is going to stabilize by mid of March- April and then things will get better. Cheers, Tutul

Yeah, but as usual nobody can predict the future. Some that see this as an opportunity is only think to buy one dollar with 40 cents.

First it was an opportunity for me because I like to short stocks that are going down. But for people who only want stocks to go up, I say that it will EVENTUALLY be a great opportunity. People have been calling the bottom countless times in the past year and a half, and been wrong a lot. It is hard to know when the market really bottoms, but when it happens, fortunes will be made in a hurry. Be ready. Watch the market and make a watch list of things that you will buy when the time is right. Be patient.
