Do people get your age right?

This time around, my question doesn't make any sense, but I mean it when I ask it. Sometimes I find it part-annnoying, part-flattering that people rarely get my age right. I laugh at it much. Back when I was fifteen, I went to this seminary for choir practice, and these freshman college boys were asking what my course was and where was my campus. JEEZ. I was a high school sophomore then. NOW, I'm seventeen and majority of parents are asking what year am I in--in high school. I'M IN COLLEGE PEOPLE. They even mistake my eleven-year-old sister as the one in college. (-_-") Did you ever get that moment? How did you feel?

If you're the one in the pic and you're 17, then most likely i won't be getting your age right if you'll let me guess it. lol! When i was 29, i dated this 34 year old lady. When she first saw me, she just couldn't believe it. She's like "Are you sure you're 28? You looked like a college boy!". It's kind of flattering really lol! Sometimes it works on my disadvantage because people will not be taking me seriously thinking i'm too young to handle things.

To answer your question--yes, that's me, the way I am, in the picture. And I think that the difference between 17 and 28 must be visible, but it's amusing that she wasn't ablt to see that. :))

Well, i do carry myself pretty well so i guess i'm aging slowly. I don't have a belly. I'm not bald lol! hmm... I just don't have the stress what a 28 year old should be having lol! Plus it was 7pm and it's dark so i guess it helped too lol!

When people look at me they were thinking that I'm still very young as if I were still in somehow in 2nd or 3rd year college but the truth is I'm already working.. I'm already 21 years old but other people think that I'm still 18 or 19 years old.. I admit that I do look very young with my age and I'm happy with that but sometimes it makes me irritated because some people were fooling me or treating me like a teenager who don't have much experienced about the real life and I really hate it especially if they were treating me like a kid.. I remembered when every time there's a new guard in our school, they always look at my ID especially if I'm not wearing my Uniform.. The guard always asked my ID since they though I'm still high school, and the entrance for high school students are on the other side.. They don't usually let me entered without looking at my ID to prove that I'm college student already.. My friends were always laughing at me when it comes to looks sometimes.. Since if we go to the movie house, they always teased me that I can't go with them because the movie is PG 18... I just sometimes smile at them but most of the time I'm so much irritated already..

when my age was between 30 to 32 years old, people have always been mistaken by my age. They thought that im just in my mid 20's, and im so flattered when i heard their comments telling me that i don't look at my age. but when i reached my 40 which was just last year, it always sadden me of most people's mistakenly telling me that i look like a "grandmother" to my youngest kid who is 7 years old. it really hurts and disappoints me. maybe because i already have gray and white hairs (i generally inherit from my father, who is at his age of 35 started to have white hairs), i came to the solution of coloring my hair, but i feel that its not the solution. my face doesn't have many wrinkles as what grandmothers have. i don't know why they look at me so old :-( ...

Hello chance. I have a different situation. When I was in college and I was 23, people would mistake me as 17, or 18 years old. I get really annoyed when people make mistakes like that. When I was 25, someone mistake me for being 19. They even mistake me for being a younger sibling to my sister when in fact Im the eldest. Right now, It doesnt bother me anymore when they didnt get my age right.

Hahaha... i also experience this almost always... i guess because i'm not really that tall that people still think i'm in college... haha... People seem surprised when i tell them my age... Oh well it's a good and bad thing. =)

People who don't know me at all always get it wrong. Most people think I'm still in high school, although I have been mistaken for an elementary student twice -- once when I was 17, and another when I was already working as a banker. People whom I've met at work pretty much can guess how old I am, although they would always tell me I still look like "just a student". People I know, like my parents' friends, people in church, etc. would mostly ask me what year in college I'm in. I mostly just find it funny, and of course, I would be lying if I said that I wasn't a wee bit flattered by it hehehe

Several years after I graduated from college, I visited to my former teachers. When I arrived at the gate, the gatemen asked why I was hanging out without attending classes. They mistook me a student. They say I look a student. In fact I was in my 30s at that time. Now most people say I look my age.

well.. apparently i look younger than i really am. IN that I AM flattered. it feels great to be seen as young BUT it gets very annoying when people don't talk your word seriously. JUST because they think you are young and naive.. that HONESTLY doesn't mean that i don't THINK! I don't like it when the "adults" think that i'm just babbling nonsense and not take me seriously. i hate it.

People rarely get my age correct and it doesn't bother me. It can be flattering to say the least for them to think that I am the sister of a 33 year old young man, instead of his mother. I'll take those incorrect assumptions every time, with a huge smile too.

People do get my age wrong a lots they think I am a lot younger than I actually is. I am age 58 and I could easily pass for 45. My hair has not started graying yet and my skin is real smooth and young looking. It is a compliment to me for them to think this.

i am in my 50s and still have no grey hair except for a few strands. Most people my age have a lot of grey hair. Normally i am taken for a youngster and not given the due weightage i deserve for my age. i look athletic too and walk with a brisk gait. sometimes it is annoying that younger people are treated with defference while i am treated as a youngster.

Most of the time, I don't give people that chance. I tell them what I'm doing. It did happen a few times, when I was asked whether I was studying in school. I was in my college then. I wasn't annoyed. It'll be flattering to hear some one say you look younger than your age.

i get it all the time. people think i'm still in college when i'm already close to thirty. i like it. people hardly ever suspect that i am married and a mother :) translation: i don't look like a traditional mother (wink* wink*)

Yes, I too have such experience.I dont know if my appearance is deceiptive. But I find few people who guessed my age correctly.my hair is part white and part grey now.I am to be counted as a senior citizen. Most of them are not accurate.Or, are the kidding.Perhaps not.Sometimes I feel happy that I look younger than my age.I dont have to hide my age so tell the right one if I am asked straight.
