Do you try to make your dreams before you go to sleep?

It seems like everytime I lay my head down at night I have a nightmare. It is always about a house and it is never really anything aweful but I dont think of it as a sweet dream. I am always tring to get somewhere or get someone out and often I dream about relatives that are dead. Often I dream about being at my grandmothers house and in my dream she is there and the same time in my dream i know she is dead but it never botheres me. In my dream it is like we carry on as if she were still alive even though in my dream we know she is supposed to dead. So before i go to sleep i try to think of things i want to dream about but almost never does it work. Do you try to make your dreams good? What kind of dreams do you have and do you think that dreams really do have a meaning?

i believe that dreams have meaning because it is the product of our unconscious mind. maybe you should try to relax and reflect what happened before.

I also make it sure that before i go to sleep, i think of things that i want to dream but unfortunately, the things that i don't even think were the ones invading my dreams. I don't know why but i guess someone was right in telling that in your dream, don't expect to have the one that you like because there's only a little chance that it will happen. The one that is working when we are asleep was the unconscious mind that hides the things that we want to forget when we are conscious. If only we can decipher the meanings of our dreams then there's no problem. If not, i guess its better to hope and pray that our dreams will not have a negative meanings.

I have tried to do this before, but it never worked out. I always dream about something else. But whether it is a good dream or a bad one I know it is just a dream. Though there was one the night my father-in-law passed away that makes me wonder if this isn't always the case.

I always try to make my own dreams. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I try to make a continuation of a dream I had the previous night (but that never works. xD)

Well, I do try to make myself have dreams, but, it never works, and I find myself wandering off before I'm even asleep. But sometimes if I wake up in the middle of the night, and I'm still very tired, then if I can make myself have dreams if I can even think of it at the time.
