My dog is having some skin problem, so we brought her to the vet this morning, and the vet said she has to stay there overnight. The vet will wash her with fungus shampoo, and also apply some medicine to let her skin better. She can only be back tomorrow. I am so not used to it when my dog is not around, I always checked out on her just now, then I realized she is not at home now. I have heard Labrador always has skin problem, that's why we always try to take well care of her, but still she get the skin problem.

I adore labrador's. My sister always had three of them but they do seem to develop all kinds of problems and their basck legs seem to go when they reach about 7 years old. Hers were alwys at the vets having something or another done to them. They are wonderful dogs though. I love to play with hers and go for long walks with them when I go to the U.K I do hope that your baby gets better soon. I know that you will miss her being around. Blessings

does it depend on the type of dog food you are feeding your dog on? There are quite a lot of factors that might contribute to your dog;s skin problems. I hope that the vet will be able to direct you how to handle this situation and cure your dog. (c) ronaldinu 2009 - the more people I meet-the more I love my dog

Yeah, there was once we gave her white bread, and the vet said we should give her anything with yeast, so we don't dare to give her any food besides her dog food recommended by the vet. Sometimes I find her pitiful, as she can't eat other food, though she really likes to eat. But this time, the vet said it maybe she scratched herself until that bad. It's difficult to stop her from scratching, just hope the medicine can make her cure faster, then she will stop scratching or licking the wounds.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog, Kaka. I hope they find out the cause for this problem, and that she's better soon. I know what it's like to love a pet so much, and want them to be well. They are a very important part of 'our' families. Take care.

Hi there, thanks for your response. ^_^ Yeah, she is like my kid, so I do feel quite sad to see her sick. Hopefully she won't always get this problem, although this is not the first time she has skin problem.

Hi there, thanks for your response. Yeah, the vet asked us to get the fungus shampoo and wash for her weekly. Hope it helps. But, the vet already told us Labradors always have skin problem, so it's hard to prevent from it actually. We always watch out the food we give to her, not all the food she can eat.

I just got my dog back this afternoon, luckily she is still quite energetic after being locked for a day.
