Has anyone bought pedi paws for your pets?? Do they like it? Is it really easier for your pet? I heard that it was loud and scared many pets..Does the file inside need to replaced often? I have 2 sheppards with long think toe nails would you reccommend this product for me?

yes we have to be careful no matter how we trim the nails, I guess aint nothing 100% safe... but you can feel vibrations when you file your own nails with an electric/battery operated file.. its the same for our pets..my shepperds usally bite their nails off.but my smaller dogs dont.....i think i might buy it, pedi paws what a cute name for it LOL

I'm still thinking about it. I have been checking the "opinions" of it. I saw one consumer company say that it was ok for small dogs but not for larger ones. I also am a little put off by the price cause I would hate to spend $20 on it and discover it won't work on my dachsunds.

All it is is a cheep battery operated dremel. Better to buy a regular dremel for your dogs. The file is just a small sanding bands and will need to be replaced frequently. Replacement files aren't expensive. You can buy them in bulk for a small amount of money. Here is a link on how to do it using a standard dremel. http://homepages.udayton.edu/~merensjp/doberdawn/dremel/dremel.html

Hey tsledd! You brought up a very important point! I have not known anyone who has this product either! I am very curious about it myself! I was thinking about getting it for my cats! But they can't stand when I clip their claws as it is! If it makes a loud noise then there is no way that I will be able to use it on them! They will be gone the minute I turn it on! I wish I did know someone that has it! I hope we find someone here that can answer these questions!

On their advert I saw that its quiet however I don't think I can trust it. I had bought soft paws caps for my cat's nails. he doesn't like to have his nails clipped and then to put the glue and insert the caps was quite messy as he was restless. Now I made a scratching post for him which he uses daily. at least he's not using the sofa! :)

Yes i purchased one and to me its nothing like the commerical how esy it seems. First the noise scared mine away, and it like a wheel with sand paper on it, when i tired it on my 2 dogs they got scared. Very disappointed in it. Then again i cannot say for every dog.

I've heard it doesn't work nearly as well as the commercial claims. It looks much too good to be true that the dogs just let them hold their paws and trim their nails.

hi toony i was thinking that also.. just too good to be true... It costs 19.99 at walgreens i might one just to see for myself if my dogs would it..i think it would put cold chills down their spines just from the vibrations of the filing.. well maybe at least at walgreens you can return anything if you keep your proof of purchase.

It is funny how many of us have thought about it but none of us has it. My dogs nails grow really fast and I hate clipping her cause I am so afraid of hurting her. I will keep checking back to see if someone has purchased it.
