Thank you and same to you. Though being a Bengali, I really do not understand these festivals, but I love wishing people. However, if its Sankranti you are talking about, then yes, we celebrate that too. its after all a major event when the sun starts moving back towards the northern hemisphere. This only goes to show how advanced our forefathers were astronomy. In the Mahabharate, Pitamaha Bhisma is also said to have decided on this particularly auspicious day to end his life.
