on the first day of june,2008,our country have pass an issue which do not let citizens to use plastic bags anymore, in the shopping mall or supermarket, people should buy bags which makes of textiles instead of plastic bags.cause it can be use a lot of times and dont lead to "white pollution".but in some region, this seems not successful, the "white pollution"is still going on.what do you think about it?do you have some good idea to restrict it?what about the "white pollution" situation in your country?

Yes, in my country, the Philippines, they are now encouriging the public to use the recyclable bags made of textiles instead of plastic bags. But i think they need to put an effort on public awareness. I see a lot of those bags in the major malls but very seldom that i see someone who use it. But let's just hope for the best. Let us all do our share to protect the environment, and therefore, save Mother Earth.

I think the reuseable bags are a great idea. We do not have a ban on plastic but are warned that it's pollution and we should consider alternatives. Some stores offer reuseable bags but most do not. I think that by offering more solutions could greatly help in reducing pollution.

reuseable bags sounds like a good idea.there is a huge of plastic bags in our country that after people use it,they will throw it away as a trash.but the wastetreatment do not offer the way to pick the plastic bags up from the other trash.so,it is still a problem we should solve.

certain things persist even if there's "ban". plastic bags were a threat for more than a decade. almost all govt have announced ban. but here, there r a few educational institutes and tourist spots, zoo, etc, they respect and obey the ban. they prohibit the usage of plastic bags, at least within the campus/ zone. I hope people will take this situation seriously. Everything right from carry bags to even garbage bags are made of plastic, the only way to prevent pollution may be to prevent manufacturing them. but you can still opt for recycled ones.

everywhere you look you see plastic bags.....The USA shold adopt that law...I bought 10 bags for 10.00 a few months ago and I love them! they are actually easier to pack and to cary and to unload...In the us people tend to go with what is easiest and what is known....i think they should be banned and collected for recycleing into something that is a long term product...short term products need to be earth friendly so that they can be composted somehow or at least they need to breakdown fast. plastic should only be usable in products that are meant for long term use and can be recycled when done. treat the bags like pot....if you are caught with it you go to jail or are fined....IDK...plastic ..the new controlled substance...lol
