Do you think that chatting can only show so much of a person's personality?

Chatting does not fully show the personality of each person involved in the discussion. It is easy to write and type the answers you want the other person to know but it is just as easy to ignore or change the subject on items you had rather not discuss. Chatting allows people to get an idea of a person and to make a decision if they would consider carrying their relationship to the next level of a more personal experience such as a conversation on the phone or a face to face meeting. You can be anyone you want to be behind the screen of a computer and the other person is never the wiser until you cross that personal boundary. The only way to really know someone is to actually talk to them and see them face to face. It is then that they can not hide reactions, emotions, and other signs of who they are.

I tried chatting when this thing was still new and when I was still single. It was fun at first but later I found myself fooling myself and other people. You know that other people are pretending to be who they want and it was just a waste of time.

No chatting does not shows personality Any body can caht with any name telling him/her of any age, gender. so cahtting is not way of knowing some one's personality.
