How to avoid Stress.

Friends there are so many ways to avoid Stress. I would like to mention a few, so that it will be useful to all of you. I am writting this because of stress, I had to undergo a bypass surgery about 2 years back, I do not smoke and drink alcohol, the first problem I had was hypertension, which was followed by diabetes. Please note that there has been no diabetes in my family background. All these was caused by stress. Here are a few tips to beat stress. Go for a long walk in the morning, when you go for a walk, try to appreciate the beauty around you, it can be a beautiful scenery or a woman or a baby or even an advertisment hoarding. Second try to listen to some music, prefereably soft music. Third try to read some jokes in the morning or some good news, try to watch the religious Channels in the TV for atleast 5 to 10 minutes. Very important try to get some physical exercises, nothing hard, just shaking your hands and legs for five minutes will do. Very important, try to control your temper, Smile, it does not cost you anything, do not shout at your partners or your children. Finally pray to god for five minutes, if you do not like praying, Meditate for 5 minutes, thinking of anything you like. Try to have a good breakfast, not a heavy one, you will find it refreshing and try to take a bus or train to your workplace instead of driving, this will relax you. Try these,you will find your life a much better and peaceful one and with that you will also avoid stress and the resultant Cardio Vascular Diseases.

I already had this discussion ramesh, and true enough that stress can kill us. We really to make mindful choices about giving yourself time off, and you need to as disciplined about scheduling it as your about the other things you do. Its not selfish or self- indulgent, and its not a luxury-its essential. If you want to be around to take care of the people you love, you need to take care of your health. You need to create quiet time for yourself. It's a matter of living in the moment.

I use to manage stress, listening musiq, playing violen and i like chocolates, and i feel i get refreshed after having my chocolates. And best remedy is Meditation, try breathing exercise, it will help you balance and handle stress.

Take care sweety_81, remember health is wealth, I do not want anybody to under go the hardship which I had undergone, but unfortunately it is not the case. Just look at our Prime Minister, such a powerful man has to under go a by pass surgery for a second time, just think of the pain this 78 year old man will undergo. That is life.

Hmmm. The ways you have metioned are really cool. I am really so very stressed out at times, my work and the envioronment in which i work really freaks me out. I am planning to opt for a good gym and pray it should work good for me.

Thanks for the response bodhisatya. Apart from the two activities you have mentioned, you can regularly listen to music. Since I am aware that you are very much interested in music, this activity can really help in your stress.

I am totally agree with. When I meet some stresses or difficulties I would tell my families or my best friends. Usually, they will give me some advises to let me get through the frustraction easily, listening to anthem and praying.

Yes that is also a good thing, it is always better to talk about your difficulties to your family or your loved ones and whenever you are frustated,just keep quite and meditate.

good point! until now I recognizzed that why do I feel annoyed almost every morning when I get up and sometimes even shout at my parterner.this is caused by stress! thanks for your advise! have a happy life!

Yes there is many way to avoid stress. I prefer pray, listen to music and watch movie.
