Do you forget what you did when you are drunk? Why?

I have a friend who always love to drink. And after every event of being drunk, she always asks me what happened. At first, i thought she's playing with me but when this thing happens everytime, i don't know anymore what to say. Sometimes, i'm annoyed and tell her this, "i know what i'm doing when i am drunk unlike you or maybe you just don't want to remember the embarrassing things that you did that's why you pretended to know nothing?". But she defended herself that she really didn't know. I don't know if i'll believe her or not because it never happened to me. I asked my other friends and they told me that they knew also what they did when they were drunk. What do you think? Did you ever experience something like this? Or do you know why this happens?

I usually remember things well. If i do something stupid though i pretend i don't remember. She could be pretending not to remember so she doesn't get confronted about it. Although i have heard some people can get drunk enough where they don't remember. I just don't see how drunk they have to get. I have switched shots up between tequila and vodka drinking for hours playing shot games and still be able to remember things.

I have been drunk many times but I don't remember to have been having an amnesia every time i am drunk. I don't believe a person who says he or she doesn't know what she/he has done. Maybe you cannot control yourself to behave but i don't believe those throwing an excuse of loosing their minds when they are drunk.
