Final Fantasy

Well, I missed most of the first Final Fantasy games because I've been gaming since I was 4, but I didn't know the series existed until I was 7.. And back then I only really played Mario and Zelda. And by the time I was 11 and a proper gamer, I couldn't buy many games due to lack of cash. Now that I'm 15, there is so many final fantasy games that I don't know where to start... But I will do the catching up because, as I said in another discussion on my lot, it's a gaming sin to not have played Final Fantasy.... So I was wondering from all the innocent gamers out there, where I should start. Should I start way back with the first Final Fantasy games, go from a certain release or just wait for 13 and keep up with the latest from now on? I'll eventually play all the others anyway but I'm already playing about 80 games so I can't keep up with the game which is always releasing, Final Fantasy. I'm a DS fan so I was thinking about starting with Final Fantasy Tactics.

Final fantasy tactics its an epic game. But you can start from every final fantasy that you want, because the plot its not continued, I mean every game it has its own story, excepting final fantasy X and final fantasy X-2. In my opinion, the best Final fantasy that I´ve ever played is Final fantasy IX, I dont know why, but I dont like that much the famous final fantasy VII

final fantasy tactics to final fantasy IX are played in Playstation One, when i bought my Playstation One. the first final fantasy that i have played is Final Fantasy VIII, then i bought FF IX, and because FF VII was years ago after it was launch i had a hard time finding the game, and when i saw the game i immediately bought it. and also FF tactics. i suggest that you should start from the very first released games before you play the new ones. the anticipation factor is always high when you start from where it all began

i started playing the FF tactics, then FF1, FF2, FF7, FF8, FFX and now i'm playing the FF7 prequel:Crisis Core. i think you can start anywhere besides they have different stories.

Personally, I would start at the first one and work my way through the Squaresoft historical archives by Japanese release schedules (I think their #3 and #5 is different from United States releases) Honestly for other gamers, I would start at Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 8. These two games are what launched the immense American popularity it has so rightfully deserved. Keeping in order does not really matter since each game is a new adventure. The only major game-sequel combinations are as follows: Final Fantasy 7 PS2 Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children Movie Final Fantasy 7: Dirge of Cerbereus PS2 Final Fantasy X PS2 Final Fantasy X-2 PS2 I love all things Final Fantasy; if you need any help go ahead and ask!

FF8 is the best Final Fantasy games for me. Nice game story and nice game theme song. I wish I can play the FF11 online but it requires payments. Tactics is a cool FF game to.

I've heard that each game is pretty good in its own little way, so if you really want, you could try playing all of them. Then again, I've never played the games all the way through myself. Just a little bit of 7, 10 and 11. Also, you said you were playing about 80 games right now. xD That sounds like too many games to handle at the moment (at least I think so, lol). So you might want to wait until you've beat a few of those games before taking on anymore. I'm a DS fan as well. ^^

you should start from final fantasy x since final fantasy x2 somewhat ties into it. you'll notice that most of the characters are the same, but the biggest difference is the style of gameplay. hope you enjoy it

Im in the same situation, but ive played FF 1 and 2 and want to pick up the FF 4 remake for the DS. I also downloaded FF 7 for the computer and am currently playing through that. Ill move on to FF X and XI and XII after i get done with 7
