re-formating laptop....PC expert calling----need ur help---

I am planning to re-format my laptop but I was having some doubts, because I dont know what are the steps that need to be done. Is it same procedures in desktop pc or not??? ... I have no experience and doing it(re-formating laptop) and will be my first time,.. Do I need to use any bootable disk or cd's in order to do it... and what are the procedures??? I was re-formating desktop pc before, is the procedure same or not?? Please give some idea...

You're in luck... I'm an IT specialist. hehehe
Anyway, Yes re-formating a laptop is more or less the same with a desktop pc.
You need and Operating System like Microsoft XP.
Just make sure before doing the format process, you backup your important files cause some might me lost during the process.
Also prepare all the drivers/installers needed for your laptop.
the procedure with re-formating your laptop is the same as a desktop pc.
