Personal preference: enjoying my job over the amount of money I make. I am a musician, so I would gladly go on a music tour without being paid rather than being paid $1 million an hour and hating my job. The point of life is to enjoy it--not make money. What's the use of making lots of money and not spending it? Besides, everyday is unpredictable. You may think of grinding money, and retiring with a lot right? WRONG! Who knows when the next car crash will happen? Who knows when a nuclear war will start? Technology is too advanced, and the world is too much of a dangerous place, so enjoy your life now, before you lose it. Now, when I say enjoy your life, I hope you don't misunderstand me by living off dust everyday. You should enjoy your job at the same time of making a good enough income to support yourself and any others you care for (if any).

Yes change the job. why be somewhere where you are not appreciated for your efforts. your boss seems to be like most other bosses. They are all the same. I would tell you not to quit unless you get a better job and on the last day of your job, give a piece of your mind to your wretched boss.
