How do you upload a photo into a new discusion and response to a discussion?

i think everytime you create a new discussion or start responding to any discussions there is this "add an image" link that you will notice at the left part of the site. there you can browse and upload photo for that particular discussion. but really need to double check also. i don't really upload photos, haven't been even before. happy mylotting!
