The Rating System On This Site

Okay, I've read all the FAQs, helps and such, I even searched for previous questions, but haven't found a thing. I wanna know, how the rating here works? You usually get one point per post, but I see yesterday I had 2 points more than that number, and now I've got 4 more. How does it work? Thanks everybody for your answers... ;)

Well good to hear it striaght from mylot that quality post count more then spam post do. I was starting to wonder myself but i'm not spamming and i'm making money at the same time so I have faith and hope the new changes will work even better for quality posters

They a have an algorithm that they use and are not going to tell us what it is. It varies from person to person. If anyone here is a math guru or knows one, they should be able to figure it out. If gamers can figure out movement and design algothrims I am sure someone can figure the algorithm used on the site.

I'm sure you get paid alot for people posting in your topics but it is hard for you to get alot of people to post in them. When I get people that post in my topic I make sure I find way to keep it going there is kinda a secret way I work it is all about timing.

i only tried to enjoy it so far,and i much later found out about the rating,there are plus and minuses signs next to each answer,wehn you liked one,be sure you rate it,usually with a plus hehe,i never give minuses because i believe it is a mean thing to do,i rather tell that person what bothers me..goodluck to everyone!!

I still do not understand how mylot decides the quality of posts.

They could decide by the number or words in a post on all the long post they could read on there on to see if it deserves more. It is still a big question on how they do things on this site but i try to make all my post quality some times i slip up late at night when i am tired ...lol. For the most part though i try to help and post quailty stuff seems to be working good for me at the time.

I am trying to learn this as well. I wonder when we are Rated by someone if that helps our Point total too? I am still trying to figure it out also, and how we get paid from it all too.

This system is not flawless but i think it works very well and they are making changes this month so hopefully better for people that take there time to post like me. I think the rating system works automatically but then they can take way a rating when your payed if they want to. I have noticed my rating got higher when i got more money put it.
