I know many people that lose their energy around this time everyday. Many people will grab a sugar snack or caffeine drink in order to give them a boost but that becomes short lived and then they feel even more tired afterwards. But a good snack is a rice cake with peanut butter with some water and that is a better healthier way to get more power to last til you get home. Also since you need to sit behind a pc all day it would be good if every hour you stand up and stretch out. Good Luck!

This is a common problem for all employees who needs lots of concentration in their work..This is because you give more of mental work than your physical work. So your brain becomes very tired. It is a good idea to move around very often atleast once in an hour. Just take a 2 minute walk..move to the next cabin..Have a small chat with your friend or have a cup of coffee in canteen. Then be back to work. If you feel sleepy again, take a short break from your seat. You can feel the difference.

since you are working all throughout the day in front of the PC, you're eyes are strained and so you feel so sleepy during those times of the day. i think even a cup of coffee wouldn't help you at all. before i was working in the call center and our job is also like your's sitting in front of the PC, talking to clients concerns and what's worst is we are working on a graveyard shift so just imagine how hard is it also? i suggest that from time to time relax your eyes, and get away in front of the PC.

Something else you may want to try is to actually wake your body and mind back up. Do some stretches, take a quick high paced walk. Sometimes if you get out in the fresh air, you will find this to help clear your head a bit more easily. Think of the stale air that you are in all day long. During the winter it is even worse.

Although not a good idea but i know sometimes stuff like programming, etc would takes ages to finish. Coffee helps sometimes but ofcourse more than 4 cups total in a day is Ok and more than that is not recommended by doctors. taking regular breaks for enagging yourself in some other work for few minutes will also keep you awakened.
