It may be a lie but

my eldest son came out wth a story that has us roling on the ground with laughter. When my youngest son comes home each January he organises a family reunion at his uncle's place by the sea. This year was very special as they met a cousin that they had never seen. Amazingly he looked like my children. He and his wife said they would be back next year and he would try to bring his brohers and their families too. Anyway back to the story! We were all coming out with tales of how creative the workers could be when stealing produce etc from the farm. I had just told the story of my husband transporting a coconut thief to the police station. The thief then sent a message to my husband to come and bail him! My eldest son then told the story of how a man named Boo stole a cow from a neighbour of ours after I had stopped living on the farm. He said the man stole the cow and then put the cow into a deep pit and covered the cow with earth leaving out only his head. He fed and watered the cow for one week before he was caught! The police made Boo dig out the cow and take it back to the owner. We literally howled with laughter (not at the poor cow) but at the ingenuity of the action and also to imagine seeing only the head of the cow sticking out of the ground. No,we were not nice. My son swore that the story is true and was backed up by several people there who used to work for us on the farm. Have you any stories of someone stealing from you or someone you know that was - shall we say - a bit different from the norm?

that is a wonderful story, I loved it, poor cow, it needed milking, I have a story, My friend lived in an appartment and the storage area was down stairs in a storage room. She put all her christmas tree and decorations there, it was well over 700 worth of stuff. Somebody stole the tree and christmas decorations, and she didn't know who, about a week later there was a knock on the door and she answered it, a man had all her stuff and asked her if she would want to buy it. His story was he was down on money and needed to buy milk for his babies.

I'm glad you liked the story my friend. I am rubbish at posting and receive very few responses. Something to work on this year.Lol Your story was pretty amazing too. The man was stupid by forgetting where he had stolen the decorations from. Did she call the police? Blessings and many thanks for responding.

Hi Cynthiann, Since reading this discussion a while ago I have been trying to think of a story that I have heard about animals etc and a couple of hours later I still can't so rather than ignore I will say that the thought of a cows head poking out of the ground in this way did make me laugh so I guess that makes me sick too. The coconut thief also made me laugh by asking your husband to be the one to bail him out. Both excellent. Thanks for sharing. Huggles. Ellie :D

It didn't have to be about theft of animals . Just any theft. My husband was so kind hearted that he couldn't bear to think of the man in the police lockup all night - so he did bail him out. I've been l;aughing all day. Thak yo for responding

HI Cynthiann: Oh Wow! That poor Cow!!! It's funny to read but yet at the same time I'm like how could someone do that to that poor cow? You got some strange people there where you live (G)!!!

Yep, strange people.! He wanted to keep it for a while until the owners stopped looking for it and then he would try to sell it to a butcher or something. Who knows. Thanks for responding

When I was young, like five, we lived next door to a man who had a huge garden. One night I slipped out my bedroom window, went into his garden, and pulled every single tomato plant he had growing. Then I re-planted them all...upside down. Then I snuck home. The next morning the man came pounding on our door, wanting to know who had done it. My parents told him we were all in bed, how could he be sure it was one of their kids? He then took them around the side of the house and pointed out the dirt smears leading in the window. I was singled out when they inspected our feet!
