...or do you already have money saved up for it? Are you going to buy one as soon as they're released? I've been reading a little about it. I guess it's supposed to be out in April for about $180. (That's for us living in America.) I hope that they allow us to download classic Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance off a rumored DSi shop channel similar to the Wii Shop Channel. If they definitely have that feature, I'm going to feel awfully tempted to get one ASAP.

I haven't heard anything about this either...but it does sound nice. I have the original Nintendo DS - not light - and I still sometimes play that....although I just got a psp-3000 a few weeks ago and I'm loving that ;) definiely puts the DS to shame. I do like the way the DS plays though, with 2 screens and the interactiveness of the touch screen. Also, you can already use the wii (if you have wifi) to download a lot of demos for the DS.

Yeah, but those DS demos they have on the Wii's Nintendo Channel aren't anything to write home about. Plus, the Nintendo Channel takes up a ton of space on the Wii.

i too was not aware of this product by nintendo. i already have a nintendo ds, but i don't play it as much anymore. so, i might not purchase this item until a "light" version gets released. $180 is a hefty amount, but i already have money saved up for it. but like i said, i probably wont get it right away. i might wait a few months or even a year before i get one

I hear it's going to be really small, so I don't know if a light version will be released. Yeah, $180 is a lot of money. I'm not really sure what I'll do yet. It might be a year or so before they drop the price once it's released.

Hey, no problem! Keep in mind the DSi wont have a slot to play Game Boy Advance games as the DS does, so hopefully they'll have a downloading service.

You mean the next ds? I want to get it but not really since I already have a ds lite. The ds is only more compacted and you cant put gameboy games in the slot. I'm just saving up for new games that will come out in the future. Pokemon is one of the best games ever made for the gameboy and I still want to get any that come out in the future. The next ds looks kool but dont have the money for it.
