Who is going to win the 2009 World Series

the yankees, red sox, and cubs are all the obvious choices but every year one team surprises everyone. and baseball is a game in which everything can change quickly especially in the playoffs. you get "upsets" a lot in baseball. the yankees have way too many egos to be a good clubhouse. the red sox are going to compete like always. im skeptical on the rays. one year isnt going to make a believer out of me. well see on them. the national league i think has so much more parity than the american its near impossible to pick whos going to win even the divisions. but to my pick ill say third times the charm for the mets and in the A.L. well take the Red Sox. so Red Sox vs. Mets

The Yankees are definately going to be the favorites to win it all. It will all depend if the players will be healthy this year. But there will be teams that are always in it like the Red Sox and the Angels, just to name a few.

I agree that the Yankees are the favorite to win the World Series this year. With the additions of Sabathia and Burnett to their rotation and Texiera to their lineup, I just don't see how any other team in the league can overcome the talent that Yankees have this year.

It will be interesting to see who will win the World Series. You can say the Yankees are favored with their talent, but talent doesn't always win ball games. That has been evident in the last few years with the Yankees. I think the Rays will be a contender again this year since they were so young. Then of course you have the Yankees, Red Sox, and Cubs who are attempting to buy championships. It will be interesting to see, but I won't really be able to make a prediction until the season gets going.
