I get your point. Well sparkliecandy, also go for the Union bank. I check it out last night and they have online application. But as of last night they are upgrading their application form so you either wait until it is done or you have to apply personally. Either way you can have a card where you can withdraw your paypal money.. good luck.. and oh, wait. They also provide everything the paypal ask for. Bank code, aCcount info.. so you go!:)

I have the same dilemma. I want to open an account and I'm thinking of opening in landbank. But based from the discussions here Union bank is better. I think for a stUdent, 350 is a big amount even for 1 year. I suggest you think it over, coz if landbank can receive paypal, then opt for it coz it has so many branches nationwide. Can i ask a question, how do i get a bank code? Do i have to ask the bank directly?

I suggest you to have a EON Card. most of the members here make use of EON Cards. No opening deposits needed.all you have to do is to go the nearest Unionbank branch and apply. bring with you your I.D. and your SSS number and you will be ask for two weeks for the card and pay 350 pesos for the card, that is you are going to pay that annually. if you are from union bank, you can also try of landbank. as far as I know, they offer 500 pesos for students to open an ATM.I hope i was able to help and solve your problem.welcome here in mylot and happy posting!!
