Have you watched The Holiday by Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslett?

It was my aunt who inspired me to watch this film. I was talking with my aunt one time and she couldn’t answer me that much because she kept on watching this movie and she giggled a lot as I’ve heard. I finally watched it this week and yes, I too enjoyed it a lot. The plot was interesting and quite unique. It was a story of two opposite girls, played by Kate Winslett and Cameron Diaz, who were broken hearted that time and decided to exchange houses for the holidays just to temporarily leave their heart problems. I was quite intrigued by this since I don’t know if exchanging houses really do exist. That will be really interesting trip if it happens in real life. It so happens in the movie that Cameron is rich and Kate is not that rich but has a cute and modest house which is in England, while Cameron’s in LA. The happenings on their adventure was worth watching, especially for Cameron who’s love interest was Jude Law who plays Kate’s older brother. He’s soooo cute and they are a very good pair, and that’s when I had giggled. Cameron’s character here was so bubbly and comedic that I couldn’t help liking her. Kate’s story was also interesting but more serious than Cameron and she had a very good acting especially when she saw how great Cameron’s house was. Her love interest here was Jack Black. Very, very nice story, a feel-good movie and I really recommend watching it with a loved one.

I caught this movie on accident once on one of the movie channels and was pleasantly surprised. I liked all of the characters. They were all flawed and were able to fit each other perfectly. One actor that I was surprised to like in this movie was Jack Black. He's so over the top most of the time. To see him in a role where he relatively down to Earth was a pleasant turn around. One of the most humorous things with the movie were the voice overs for Camerons character. I also recommend seeing this movie if you just want a pick me up.

Cameron did a voice over on this film? I didn't notice that. Where did you learn that she did a voice over here, uicbear?

No,no, what I was referring to was the guys voice who comments on her life and actions like it was a movie trailer at different points in the movie. I think one instance was when she was in the bathtub. (Just that statement alone is going to have people wondering about this movie.)

I really liked that movie too. And yes, switching houses for vacations does happen in real life. It's easier now with the internet to find house swaps.

Maybe if I live on a place that's secure enough and my house is pretty enough for that kind of adventure, I would love to try that too! But not because to find a relationship but to see some other place and yes, to learn about out other things and people too.

I LOVE that movie :) I think it just goes to show that love shows up when you least expect it. They are both trying to run away from bad relationships and they find new and better ones.
