How do you get in touch with your friends?

Now that internet is part of our daily lives, how do you get in touch with your friends? I have been living far from my native country for more about three years now but I still keep in touch with my friends there. I usually do email or YM messages. I also keep up with what's happening with them through a social networking site. I really think that the internet helps us stay in touch with friends and family.

Like you, I keep in touch with many people away from me through the Internet - my grandparents especially. I talk to my friends using MSN Messenger and I've also joined a social networking site to talk to my cousins every once in a while that don't use their e-mails. It's a great convenience and it would be better than sending them a handwritten letter halfway around the world every week, eh?

Well nothing beats receiving a handwritten note. But with the fast-paced world we live in, it's not practical to do this anymore. Although I still send out cards on special occasions.

i keep in touch with my old and new friends usually with social networking sites only, i think its the best way to find old and new friends in a single place.

I have an account in a couple of social networking sites. A good way to stay in touch and see what your friends are up to.

well there are a lot of ways to get in touch with freind specially who are far away. email is one big thing to get in touch and also there are chats and social network sites like orkut and many other. we can keep in touch with sites and also do a lot more like even planning a re union thorugh the school community. so in short internet is the main gateway.

I use Yahoo messenger to stay touch with my friends. I can see them and even talk to them for free.

You're right! I use YM a lot too. Convenient and no fees. So why not use it often, right?!
